How I Treat Frozen Shoulder Pain?

In the video above, Dr.Rozil Gandhi, an Interventional radiologist, discusses frozen shoulder

and how it is very frequent in individuals nowadays. While there are many various types of

treatments for frozen shoulder, Dr.Rozil will discuss a new technique to treat frozen shoulder

that is non-surgical.

Adhesive capsulitis is the scientific name for frozen shoulder. Adhesive capsulitis is the

joint of the shoulder. When the covering of the shoulder becomes swollen, it is called

capsulitis, and it slowly turns the shoulder joint very hard, affecting shoulder joint movement

and possibly giving you night pain or shoulder movement pain.

What are the causes of the Frozen shoulder?

Frozen shoulder can be caused by a variety of factors.

Because uncontrolled blood sugar levels can damage collagen, a crucial protein that makes

up your connective tissue, people with diabetes are more likely to develop frozen shoulder.

Any shoulder injury or surgery that needs hospitalization of the shoulder is linked to this

condition (i.e., by using a shoulder brace, sling, shoulder wrap, etc.)

And now we know that many people have had shoulder discomfort after receiving a covid

vaccination, which occurs when the vaccine is administered on the wrong side of the body,

and that the most effective treatment for any type of shoulder pain is rest.

Treatments For shoulder pain :

If you have diabetes and aren’t getting any results in terms of pain relief, an

anti-inflammatory, or painkiller, should be given to the patient. Physiotherapy is also an

option for the treatment of frozen shoulder, but if you aren’t getting relief after 3 to 4 months

of treatment, we may have the right option for you.

Shoulder joint embolization :

This treatment can be done by angiography. We have a radial artery on our wrist through

which a catheter is put to do angiography for the shoulder joint and the damaged nerves that

are supplying excessive blood to the joint.

In this procedure, we do angiography and create a map of the nerves that supply blood to

the shoulder. We then minimize the swelling of the shoulder by injecting embolized particles,

which reduces the swelling and relieves your discomfort significantly.

This procedure does not require any cuts or surgery, and the recovery rate is extremely high

in this type of angiography.

શું તમને covid ની vaccine લીધા પછી ખભામાં દુખાવો થાય છે ? તો તમે SIRVA થી પીડાઓ છો

Hello everyone. Welcome to our Pain Channel. Today with us we have interventional radiologists, Doctor Rozil Gandhi and Doctor Mohal Banker. And today we are going to discuss pain related to the shoulder.

What is SIRVA?

Shoulder Injury Related to Vaccine Administration (SIRVA): SIRVA is an acronym that stands for shoulder injury related to vaccine administration. We have seen a lot of patients saying they have pain in their shoulder joints. After the COVID vaccination, some people get pain in their shoulders. Covid vaccines are given at 40 sites and not 20 sites, and the symptoms of this are more common than the frozen shoulder. Some patients are not able to lift their shoulders properly due to it.

As we see today, almost 164 million people have taken the COVID vaccine, so does the SIRVA happen to everyone?

No, Sirva doesn’t happen to everyone. People get shoulder pain due to the vaccine given at the wrong spot. As we can see, the vaccine has to be given in the arms, but by mistake, it is given in the shoulders. For that reason, the people are getting pain in the shoulders.

Let’s see how Sirva happens.

When we go for the vaccine at that time, we take time from our busy schedules. Because we don’t open our shirts fully, the vaccine gets very high where our shoulder joint is located. In our body, there’s a thing called “bursa” that is for the movement of our shoulder, and due to the vaccine, the bursa, which is also known as “bursaitis,” people get symptoms like frozen shoulder.

So what should we do about that?

As we say, prevention is better than cure. So when we go to take the vaccine dose, we should take our shirt properly and the vaccine should be 3 fingers lower than the portion of our shoulder.

What is the treatment available for Sriva?

SIrVA is usually relieved with physiotherapy, medication, ice implementation, and steroid injections. But some patients, after 3 to 4 months, try all these things and tell us that they are still having the pain. But if the pain is still there after all of this treatment has been done, then the quality of life of people is affected.

What should we do if someone has taken the vaccine and is dealing with pain in the shoulder?

Our new MSK Embolization is that we do that angiography and find the blood vessels that are known as Moya Moya blood vessels, which are the reason for the pain. We inject embolization particles, and those particles remove the abnormal blood vessels, and the pain goes away from the patient’s shoulder. People get very much relief after the treatment. If you are getting pain after the vaccine, then this treatment will be very helpful for you.

Shoulder Joint Pain After “Covid Vaccine”? Know its Treatment without Any Operation

Hello everyone I’m doctor Mohal Banker Interventional radiologist and welcome to this special pain Blog.

Whenever our clients call us and don’t listen that India has achieved 159 crores covid vaccination and this is a remarkable number. But we have seen a lot of patients saying they have pain in their shoulder joints. After covid vaccination people get pain in their shoulder. Covid vaccines are given at 40 sites and not 20 sites and the symptoms of this are more common as frozen shoulder. Some patients are not able to lift their shoulders properly due to it.

How to differ the difference between SIRVA and Frozen Shoulder?

In SIRVA patients are having pain, swelling, and frozen shoulder they are having because of the vaccine.

Let’s see how SIRVA happens?

When we go for the vaccine at that time we go from taking time from our busy schedule. We don’t open our shirt fully and because of that, the vaccine gets very high where our shoulder joint is located. In our body, there’s a thing called BARSA which is for the movement of our shoulder and due to the vaccine the Barsa which is also known as Barsaitis people get symptoms like frozen shoulder. So what should we do about that?

As we say Precaution is better than cure. So when we go take the vaccine dose we should take our shirt properly and the vaccine should be 3 fingers down than the portion of our shoulder.

What should we do if someone has taken the vaccine and are dealing with pain in the shoulder?

Our new MSK Embolization in that we do that angiography and find the blood vessels which is known as Moya Moya blood vessels which reason for the pain. We inject embolization particles and those particles remove the abnormal blood vessels and the pain goes out from the patient’s shoulder. People get relief very much after the treatment. If you are getting pain after the vaccine then this treatment will be very helpful for you.
